My favorite part of Christmas time was always the crafts & gifting!

My handsome I teach second grade at Sunday School each week so I have been enjoying coming up with fun crafts that are great conversation starters for them to share what they learned with their families!

This coming Sunday we are sharing the story of Jesus’ birth and to explain how baby Jesus is/was our BEST gift we will ever receive, I decided to share the story of the candy cane through our craft! Here are a few options if you are interested in joining in! We are going to do one of the ornaments!

Plus download my FREE printable tag that has a sweet little poem about the Legend of the Candy Cane!

Drop some red and white paint into the clear ornaments, place the topper on and let the kids twist and shake up the paint for a candy cane like pattern — Use ribbon to tie the Candy Cane tag onto the topper!

OR Have the children create a candy cane pattern with beads on white pipe cleaners; bend into the shape of a candy cane and tie a ribbon with the Candy Cane tag on to the top of the candy cane to create an ornament!

OR Create these sweet treats and package them up in ziplock’s or clear wrap and use ribbon to tie on the Candy Cane tag. This is a great one to hand out to your class if you don’t have time to do a craft with them!
